Interaction design Intern (visual design)

Leapcraft is looking for a highly motivated visual interaction design intern who takes pride in pixel perfect user interfaces, has a keen eye for detail and loves to dabble in a good balance of functional design as well as eye candy. We are in search for person that can help us with current projects in data visualisation, software applications and app design. Strong sensibilities in colour schemes, typography and good instinctive feel for information architecture is crucial.

The Ideal candidate has a background in visual design, graphic design or interaction design but we are open to other backgrounds with demonstrated portfolio and are enrolled in a master level course or have recently graduated.

  • Experience with original UI style development and component design.
  • In-depth proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
  • Have a diverse portfolio and the ability to work in a variety of styles.
  • Understanding of and experience in software interface design and usability methods.
  • Fundamental understanding of how visual media lives on popular social media outlets.
  • Passion for developing new technology products.
  • Knowledge of HTML / javascript and CSS would be an added advantage though not a core requirement.

The candidate should have required work permits to work in Denmark.  The internship could lead to a full time position for a suitable and well integrated candidate if the situation permits.

Duration : 6 months.

Mechanical Design Intern (CAD / CAM – product design)

Leapcraft is looking for a highly motivated engineering intern from any discipline but with outstanding CAD / CAM skills and a deep passion for intricate mechanical design. Good understanding of fluid dynamics and acoustics along with coding skills will be an added advantage. We are open to different CAD tools but good feel for materials and manufacturing process are vital along with rock solid rapid prototyping skills.

You will be working on next generation Air Quality sensor device that we are redesigning for large scale deployment. You will be working alongside a talented team of designers, electronic engineers and data scientists.  Take a look at http://cphsense.leapcraft.dk/
Occasional travel e.g to Asia might be required.

Hours per week and pay are open for discussion but you must be passionate about product design, enjoy working in a fast moving startup environment and cross disciplinary in thinking (i.e extreme multi tasking). The internship could potentially lead to full time position as it has on various occasions in the past for deserving candidates.
